The ideal solution for portable use - a pocket middle-ear screener
Weighing just 16 oz. (457 grams), the Tymp-Screen is suitable for using in any situation where portability is required, e.g. school screening programs, nursing home visits, industrial screening. It is also ideal for the physicians’ office where it can easily be carried around in a pocket.
The device may be supplied with an optional battery-powered thermal printer, which can also be used as a secure holder for the screener, especially during transportation. A robust carrying case is available accommodating both screener and printer.
Fast, automatic screening
Tymp-Screen features two test modes: automatic tympanometry and acoustic reflex. Tympanomentry is performed at 226 Hz and 85 dB SPL, from +200 to -300 daPa. Reflex measurements are conducted with an intensity of 95 dB HL and at 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz. Both measurements can be performed very quickly.
Documentation of test results
For hard copy of test results, just press one pushbutton on the Tymp-Screen and the data will automatically be transmitted to the infrared receiver on the Tymp printer (range up to 33 feet or 10 meters). The printout includes fields for writing patient details and any comments prior to filing. All test data is clearly displayed in both graphic form and with numeric values for base volume and compliance.
Tymp-Link interface module
Tymp-Link is an interface for quick, cordless transfer of test data from the Tymp-Screen to a PC. If you have NOAH installed on your PC, test data can be stored in your current client session, and subsequently retrieved. Data can also be transferred to a PC for display and printout independent of NOAH.
Tymp-Link consists of an infrared receiver in a small box, which can be mounted on your desk or monitor, and a NOAH-compatible software module. The receiver is connected to the PC’s serial port.
